Choose Him

Choose Him

Every day you and I are faced with a choice. We can cling to our sin, or we can come to Jesus for cleansing and forgiveness. We can hold tightly to our pride, or we can let repentance produce fruit in our lives (Matthew 3:8).

When we choose to come to Him, our lives become useful and productive in His hands. And that, my friend, gives us reason to celebrate!

Prayer: Lord, in Your mercy reveal any areas of sin in my life. Point out the places where I am clinging to my pride. Show me where I want to be in charge and I am refusing to let go. Pry open my heart. Cleanse me. Help me turn to follow You. Make my life useful and productive for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Getting to the Root of the Problem

Getting to the Root of the Problem

This was laid on my heart…I’m heartbroken that my brothers and sisters in Christ let Satan defeat us on a daily basis. Unforgiveness breeds bitterness, bitterness breeds bondage and oppression and so on. You guys know the scripture…John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Now read on and be blessed!!

2 Corinthians 2:11, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

If somebody shot a bullet into your home one day to attempt to kill your family… would you go rushing after each bullet trying to stop it? Or would you grab your gun and kill the guy who’s doing the shooting? Which would be wiser? We need to stop fighting Satan’s bullets, and begin to attack the spirits who are holding the guns! If your basement kept flooding, would you keep mopping up the water, week after week, or would you dig deeper to find the reason as to why the basement was getting flooded in the first place? It would be rather pointless to keep addressing the symptoms, without looking at where the problem is coming from, wouldn’t it? That same principle is true in the spiritual realm as well. If we have a spiritual problem, let’s find the root of that problem and treat the root. Once the root is cleaned up, the problem won’t be returning and causing more problems!

You will never solve the root of the problem by treating the symptom!

God is Still GOD!

God is Still GOD!

Dear family, (and friends), this time of year brings many emotions but please remember this,

No matter what we face or what we go through, no matter what we gain or what we lose, no matter how good and no matter how bad GOD IS STILL GOD! He has never left us nor has he ever forsaken us. Stand still, remain steadfast, and see the salvation of The Lord!

Family, as we mourn the loss of our beloved, be encouraged, nestle into Jesus and let’s make Him our “all and all” because he IS there in the midst of it all! Love and prayers to you all!

Rich vs. Giving

Rich vs. Giving

It is not what we make that makes us rich, but what we give. We are rich or poor, not according to what we have, but according to what we are. Do not turn to your bank account or your broad acres to see what you are worth. Look into your character…and now I would like to share a story with you guys.

A very rich man died. One neighbor asked another how much the deceased had left behind. The answer was, “He has left all.” Sad indeed when a dying man is leaving all behind. Which would you rather be, Dives, leaving all behind, or Lazarus, going to all? If you say you would rather be like Lazarus, then let there be a daily proof of it in your life. Two men had lived beside each other for years. One was a man who sought and gained the riches of the world. The other was a man who sought the kingdom of God and His righteousness. These men were both brought down upon their dying beds the same week. When the rich man was spoken to concerning the future of himself and his neighbor, he said, “I am leaving my treasures, but my neighbor is going to his. Many times I thought him very unwise in giving so much in support of his religion, but when a man comes down on his dying bed, he can see the folly of storing up riches here. I am leaving all I have lived for. My neighbor is going to what he has lived for.” Why leave so much behind to be destroyed when this world is burning? We can be assured of this one thing; everything you do out of sincere love to God ennobles your soul and gives you a greater capacity for enjoying heaven.
